For those of you that are new to the concept of programming you could try pencilcode.net this is a good place to start.
There are many others that are equally as good but I have found this to be a fantastic starting point.
Next year we will be using Javascript/HTML5/CSS3 and Python for various projects, we will also be using pencil code to start with
