Welcome
Graphics - GIF vs JPG vs PNG - offer a website that gives good details
on this
| In
your resources directory you will find a file called buttons |
| Double
click on this file and launch Macromedia Fireworks©. You can
use any graphics software you like that has the ability to handle
layers. |
| When
you open the file you will get something like this |
| Notice
the image of the eye. When you turn this on or off that layer becomes
displayed or not displayed. The layer is still there, just not visible |
| This
layer is not seen |
| This
layer is seen |
| You
will notice that there are 2 colours at the base of the layers window.
These relate to the colours of the buttons that you see when you
pass your mouse on and off the buttons on the web page. This is
the colour that you will see when you open the page |
| This
is the colour that you will see when you pass the mouse over the
button |
| You
can choose what you want your button to look like by choosing the
text you want to display and which colour you want behind the text |
| If
you have more than 1 text line selected at a time then your screen
may look a little mixed up like this |
You can
change the colour of the over button by doing the following 5
steps. |
| You
can repeat the process for the background colour |
From
this point you would then re-export all of your images by going
File-> export... You will need to make sure you do this one
layer at a time and one colour at a time.
When
it asks you to overwrite the existing file just go yes. |
